Just because you look like a big hairy homeless man, doesn’t mean you are one… all of the time. The six and a half foot ‘sasquatch’ grandson of an opera-singing Austrian Baron and double-agent, Kai Smythe was never going to be strictly normal. In one laconic hour Smythe shares a collection of anecdotes from his life as a big hairy man in a pristine and plucked society, and shows how these experiences have lead to his passion for comedy.
Big Hairy Fun Toured nationally including the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne Comedy festivals receiving critical acclaim.

“Kai Smythe is often confused for a homeless man and mothers hurry their children along when they pass him in the street, but he proves that beneath the Neanderthal exterior he's a gentleman at heart.
Smythe rivals New Zealand's Flight of the Conchords with his cleverly composed and brilliantly belted tunes. His love song How Deep Can I Go is pure genius and his dance track and accompanying sexy dancing is hilarious stuff. It's obvious Smythe has put a lot of work into his first solo show and here's hoping he will be back with more next year.”
